The first Step of Taoist Practice begins the process of harmonisation: mind, body and spirit learn to work together, to be at ease together, to live together. Breathing, structural exercises and meditation turn stress into vitality with Iron Shirt Chi Kung (QiGong in the modern spelling) the Inner Smile, the Microcosmic Orbit (“small heavenly cycle” in the traditional texts) and Six Healing Sounds.

The Six (Healing Sounds are cooling and the Inner Smile energising. Both cleanse the organs, recycle negativity and the effects of stress.

The Foundations STEP 1 weekend is a Basic Introduction to Taoist Practice including Microcosmic Orbit, Inner Smile, Six Healing Sounds and Iron Shirt Chi Kung (QiGong). Ideal for Absolute Beginners and a great help for those who have started reading Mantak Chia's work and trying the practices from the books. The STEP 1 Weekend is pre-requisite for the Foundations STEP 2 Healing Love for Individuals and Couples - "RAISING THE ENERGY, FEELING THE LOVE". (STEP 2 is not a "couples" workshop but of course couples are welcome as individuals)

Taoist Tantra is about Healing, and about Love. By learning the power of love, in its physical, energetic and spiritual manifestation, you learn to heal and love yourself - a good place from which to love others! We also learn techniques and practices to transform and circulate sexual energy through the Microcosmic Orbit, preventing indiscriminate draining of our life-force by excessive ejaculation or menstruation. Women practitioners have experienced shorter, less painful periods with lighter flow. Both men and women report increased vigour, improved stamina and enhanced sensation through the “whole body orgasm.” In other words, longer, deeper loving!

TAI CHI CAMP at Rosewell Centre Stamford Lincs: 15th to 20th July 2008
All levels from Beginner to Advanced are welcome to Tai Chi annual camp. Instructors are Tai Chi practitioners from Tao of the Shaman.

Arrive Tuesday evening and start Wednesday. Daily timings are 7am to 7pm.

We will look at all aspects of Tai Chi, from basic Form, Structures and Applications, to more advanced work including Push-hands, Sticky- and Tricky- hands.

Bring your own tent for free camping, and food to share in community cooking.

An indoor training area is available in case of rain.
